Lois Lane Armet, 16
August 3, 2010 – October 12, 2026
Onset, Massachusetts
Lois Lane Armet, beloved member of the Armet family, passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family, on October 12, 2026, at the remarkable age of 16 years, 2 months, 1 week, and 2 days.
The Armet family grew up with black Standard Poodles, but Lois was their first white one. A trendsetter from the very beginning.
It is difficult to speak of Lois as a dog because she was, in every sense, a person of extraordinary depth and emotional intelligence. She was the best person you could ever hope to meet: selfless, patient, and well-behaved. She never complained, did not crave extravagance, and was content with her lot. She was perfect in every way.
Over the course of her remarkable life, Lois called Medway, Onset, Boston, and Jupiter home, traveling extensively along the Eastern Seaboard by land and by sea. She especially enjoyed boat trips with her father, Barry, to Menemsha and Oak Bluffs. Of all the places she visited, her favorite was her own backyard.
Lois enjoyed watching Law & Order: SVU, chasing bunnies and squirrels, and spending time with her people, especially Julia and Sara. Nothing brought her greater happiness than having everyone together.
A woman of few words, Lois communicated almost exclusively through her right paw. She rarely barked and was known for always smiling. Though born before the smartphone era, she eventually mastered FaceTime and maintained a very busy social calendar.
A recurring character and inspiration behind Lady & The Chocolate, Lois played an instrumental role in Sara’s adult life. Julia, inspired by her profound bond with Lois, channeled that connection into helping others deepen their relationships with their own pets.
Petite, delicate, and effortlessly elegant, Lois was the epitome of femininity. Her extraordinary beauty stopped traffic and made grown men gasp. Yet, despite the attention she commanded, she remained humble.
In this crazy world, Lois was a constant source of love, devotion, and goodness.
Lois is survived by her human family: her father, Barry Armet; sisters, Laura (Armet) Batruch, Sara Armet, and Julia Armet; brother-in-law, Nik Batruch; nephews, Eli and Ari; aunt, Sherri Armet; canine sister, Maya; canine niece, Stella; her neighbors in Onset; and countless friends whose lives she touched.
She was predeceased by her beloved canine sister and best friend, Mia, who was waiting to welcome her on the other side.
In honor of Lois’s remarkable life and her love of Onset Village, memorial donations may be made to the Onset Bay Association.
Goodnight, our angel.
“Someday, we’ll all be gone
But lullabies go on and on
They never die
That’s how you
And I will be…”
