Harvest Moon Festival to return Oct. 11 with some changes
After being delayed due to a nor’easter, the annual Onset Harvest Moon Festival is back on.
The festival will take place on Sunday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be held at and around the Lillian Gregerman Bandshell.
Live music and the rumblings of classic, vintage and new cars will be heard as a celebration of the end of summer and beginning of the harvest season takes over Onset.
The car show presented will be held on the Onset Pier. Participants in the show should arrive before 10 a.m. Space is limited to 300 cars with dash plaques for the first 125 cars.
Live music will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the bandshell from Ed & Tony, Woot, Daddy O! and the Dan Lawson Band.
Blazing Saddles Farm in Fairhaven will host a petting zoo. What the Fun Inc. is providing balloon art. O’playsis will provide face painting and set up a kids zone.
Free parking is available at 3005 Cranberry Highway. A shuttle bus will pick visitors up from the parking lot.
The new rain date for the event is Monday, Oct. 12.
