Karen A. (Serpa) Silva, 61
WAREHAM – Karen A. (Serpa) Silva, 61, of Wareham, passed away at home on September 2, 2026, while surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Kenneth P. Silva and the daughter of the late John T. and Mary L. (McKinney) Serpa.
She was born in Barnstable and lived in Wareham all her life. She graduated from Wareham High School, class of 1983.
Karen worked as both a dental assistant and an office manager at Gateway Dental for 25 years.
She was an active member of St. Patrick’s Church. Family was the center of her world. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother and grandmother, and a cherished friend. She enjoyed nothing more than taking care of her family. She also enjoyed playing cards, shopping, and recently found a love of traveling.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Kenneth P. Silva; her children, Meagan L. Andrade and her husband Ian and Kenneth P. Silva, Jr; her brothers and sister, Christopher J. Serpa, David L. Serpa and his wife, Keri, and Janet L. Leonardo and her husband, David; her mother-in-law, Carole J. Silva; her grandchildren, Madison L. Andrade and Cori E. Silva; and several nephews and nieces.
Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations - WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. Her funeral will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 94 High St., Wareham.
Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham.
