Joyce A. Cardoza, 70

NEW BEDFORD – Joyce A. Cardoza, 70, of Wareham, passed away on July 31, 2026, in Vantage AT New Bedford. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Adelaide (Lopes) Cardoza. 

She was born in Wareham and lived there her whole life. 

Joyce graduated from Wareham High School and Cape Cod Community College where she received an associate degree.

She worked for many years at Sippican Corporation and later for Lockheed and Martin Company in Marion before retiring.

She enjoyed watching movies and she loved animals, especially dogs, cats and horses.

Survivors include her sister, Diann B. Haynes of New Bedford; a nephew, Steven Haynes and his wife, Cheryl of Gloucester, RI; a niece, Rae-Asia Haynes of New Bedford; a great nephew, Jared Haynes and a great niece, Marley Haynes; her aunt, Anne Rose of Maine.

Visiting hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. 

Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the funeral home.  Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham.
