Golf cart dealer set to tee off in Wareham

If golf is of interest to community members, a new golf cart business just might be the right cup of tee.
South Shore Golf Carts will be opening a location at 58 Sandwich Road across from Agawam Village. The business will house golf cart sales, repairs and rentals.
The dealer has two other locations at 111 Cranberry Highway in Sagamore and 1694 Post Road in Warwick, Rhode Island.
Al Ricci, owner of South Shore Golf Carts with his wife, said at the Tuesday, March 3 Select Board meeting that the business is 60% conducted through online sales. Repair services are mostly done on-the-road, with only 10% of serviced carts coming back to the shop.
The street-legal carts are mostly used for private purposes, according to Ricci. Colleges, municipalities and campground-goers are a big part of their customer base.
The business is set to open before the beginning of April.
