First responders to step up to the plate
Event Date
Local first responders will be recognized during the Fourth Annual First Responders' Night Saturday, June 20 at Spillane Field 54 Marion Rd Viking Dr.
The event, held in partnership with the Wareham Gatemen and the Cape Cod Baseball League, will honor police officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel and other public safety professionals who serve communities throughout the region.
Activities begin at 5 p.m. with a Touch-A-Truck display, followed by a Massachusetts State Police helicopter flyover at 5:30 p.m. First responders will be recognized during pregame ceremonies before the 6 p.m. first pitch.
Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz is sponsoring concession vouchers for first responders and their families. Vouchers will be available at the District Attorney's table on a first-come, first-served basis for the first 150 people who claim them.
Admission is free.
Organizers said the annual event is intended to recognize the dedication and service of first responders while providing an opportunity for families and community members to gather for an evening at the ballpark.
