Pedestrian hit by car on Cranberry Highway, in serious condition
One pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being struck by a car on Cranberry Highway around 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, according to the Onset Fire Department.
The accident occurred near the Go Bananas outdoor sports store and an employee said he heard a bang and a scream and saw a person on the ground in the road before calling 911.
The pedestrian was transported by Bourne Emergency Medical Services to St. Luke’s hospital in New Bedford in serious condition, according to Bourne Emergency Medical Services.
As of Wednesday, Oct. 8, the identity of the person and their updated condition has not been released. The Onset Fire Department and Bourne Emergency Medical Services did not have any updates and Wareham Police could not be reached for comment.
