Onset Harvest Moon Festival postponed

The Onset Bay Association announced that it postponed the Onset Harvest Moon Festival to Sunday, Oct. 11 as a nor’easter approaches the East Coast.

“We have made the challenging decision to move the Festival,” the Onset Bay Association wrote in an email to Wareham Week.

Assignments for vendors and car show participants will remain the same, the association said.

The new rain date for the event is Monday, Oct. 12, which is a national holiday.

Heavy rains and whipping winds coming to the region over the weekend forced the organizers to move the event to a later date.
