WAREHAM – Michael E. Sherman, 61, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, February 5, 2024.

Born in Wareham on September 27, 1962, he was the son of Phoebe and Leo Sherman of Wareham. He graduated from Wareham High School, Class of 1980, and played on the hockey team.

Michael was a simple man who loved the Patriots, NASCAR, his summer vegetable garden, and his home. He was the proud father of his twin daughters. Michael worked for numerous cranberry growers and was well known throughout the industry for his knowledge and ability to grow cranberries.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughters, Brandi Sherman of Wareham and Heather Sherman of Plymouth; his brothers, Stephen Sherman of Wareham, and Glenn Sherman and his wife Ann (Fournier) of Dartmouth. He was known as “Beepa” to his four grandchildren, Alexis McCarthy, Jayden VanDeusen, Kaylee Levine and James Nelson. He was also survived by his former wife, Terri Tuell.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 4 – 7 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Center Cemetery, Tihonet Rd., Wareham at 11:00 a.m.
