Mary Louise (McKinney) Serpa, 86
WAREHAM – Mary Louise (McKinney) Serpa, 86, of East Wareham, passed away at home on August 3, 2026. She was the wife of the late John Thomas Serpa. They were married for 62 years. She was the daughter of the late William and Mary E. (Enos) McKinney.
She was born in Provincetown and lived throughout the county while her husband was serving in the U.S. Navy. She moved to East Wareham in 1978.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church. She loved her family, spending time in her yard, and sitting on the deck watching birds. She enjoyed painting her gnomes and playing cards.
Survivors include her children, Christopher J. Serpa of Dennis, David L. Serpa and his wife, Keri of Plymouth, Karen A. Silva and her husband, Kenneth of Wareham and Janet L. Leonardo and her husband, David of East Wareham; her sister-in-law, Cathryn Sciole of NH; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joan Costa and Paula Roda.
Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2026, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.
Her funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 94 High St., Wareham. Burial will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
