With deep sadness, we share the passing of Julio Frye, 53, a resident of Mashpee who peacefully departed at his home on March 27, 2024. Julio was the cherished son of Karen and Raymond Mattos, and the late Ceasar Almeida.

He was a 1989 graduate at Wareham High School where he excelled as a member of the track and field team. His love for driving trucks led him to become a Class A professional truck driver, where he dedicated his skills and passion to his work. A proud member of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe and Freedom Christian Church in Falmouth, Julio's commitment to his community was unwavering. An avid sports enthusiast, Julio found joy in cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and admiring the talents of Lebron James, but his greatest delight was watching his kids play sports. His interests extended beyond sports to music, (especially musiq soulchild ) landscaping, and the love of cooking, but his true happiness was from the love of his cherished family. One of Julio’s greatest accomplishments was the day he finished his AA of 2 years.
